September Events

YOUTHShare project continues its activities in Cyprus aiming to support unemployed young people by offering opportunities for professional and personal development. The project is tackling youth unemployment by introducing personalized approach as well as training in sustainable sectors of the economy and internship opportunities for youth not in employment or training.

In this context, Anna Michael, the Key Account Manager of the Branch of the Transnational Employment Centre of the YOUTHShare Project in Cyprus participated or organised in a series of workshops during September.

Initially, Mrs. Michael was invited at a Forum with topic on “The social guidance of young people as an innovative method for their integration into the labour market” on Saturday, 12th of September. Mrs. Michael presented to a group of youth workers various career counselling tools which can be harnessed to guide young people in employment.

The Key Account Manager and the YOUTHShare team in Cyprus continued their actions by organizing a series of workshops for youth with the subject of “Building my career in times of crisis”.  The workshops were hosted by the Strovolos Municipality (on 17th of September) and the Deryneia Municipality (on 21st of September).

The aim of the workshop was to share useful practices to youth on how to find a job in times of crisis. Thus, during the workshops, and with the use of various interactive activities youth had the opportunity to receive an initial guidance on how to start their personal journey and reflect upon their personal characteristics and skills that can be useful for their employment.

Any municipalities or organisations interested in hosting this workshop, may contact the Key Account Manager directly.

On another note, the Coop Training Centre- Branch of the Transnational Employment Centre in Cyprus offers to young people looking for a job, free personalised career services, an online training and an opportunity to participate in an internship programme related to resilient sectors of the economy.
